This year, we are a 1:1 iPad classroom. I am so excited to be a part of the Technology Pilot Program at D46! To prepare for our mini iPads, I sought out donations on donorschoose.org. My jaw dropped when within 24 hours my first project, an Apple TV and adapter, were funded from my amazing family and friends (and a complete stranger). I figured why not create another project because my students deserve the very BEST! I created a project to receive 10 bluetooth keyboards to assist with the writing process. Ipads are wonderful tools to use to differentiate education, but having a keyboard is essential for students to learn how to type and be able to express thoughts and feelings in words. Within a week, my project was totally funded, again because of my wonderful family and friends (and another stranger). I want to send a special shoutout to my family and friends (and the stranger) for making my day, and my students' day. Today, we were able to open up the packages that had the keyboards. I think you can tell by the pictures, the kids are super excited! We cannot wait to receive the iPads!
