Wonderful job to all of our participants and a special thank you to all of the families for your constant support and involvement. Everyone did a fantastic job and judging by the presentations, there was a lot of learning that happened. I specifically learned that Brawny paper towels are the best quality paper towels and Tide Laundry Detergent takes out stains the best (but ladies don't get lip gloss on linens because it doesn't come out easily). Below are some pictures from the presentations and check out the district's Flickr site for pictures from the actual science fair (https://www.flickr.com/photos/128535385@N04/albums/72157664499525026).

This week we have been learning about text features and why they are important to nonfiction texts. Yesterday, groups of students created anchor charts to illustrate different text features and came up with a definition to define what a text feature is.
Last Friday we had a wonderful opportunity to work with GCHS students to help us research for our Science Fair project. It truly was a remarkable day of learning. Each and every student was engaged. We were able to take over the library and use the Chromebooks and library MACS to find information about our science topics. Students also utilized Easybib to create citations on Google Drive. Check out the following link to find nearly 200 pictures of 4th graders researching with GCHS students (https://www.flickr.com/photos/128535385@N04/albums/72157663937611141).
Below are a few pictures I was able to capture. |
