Where has the year gone? Today was the first day of our Park Campus Wolves Countdown. Each day we will be doing something special to celebrate. Today, we celebrated our school spirit by wearing Park spirit wear or our school colors, blue and silver. We had great participation!
Let's rewind and talk about the past week. Last week, we had our spring showcase with 3rd grade. All of the students did a wonderful job, despite a few hiccups on stage. This week in music, students were able to try out different music instruments and can sign up to learn more about band. I encourage you to check it out. Academically, we have been learning so much. In math, we are finishing up our unit in multiplying fractions with whole numbers. We will begin decimal work next week. In social studies, we are cruising through the midwest region while listening to Motown music. If you have any pictures from the badlands, or Mount Rushmore, please have your child bring them in. In writing, we are writing persuasive essays. We just finished typing about our favorite part of the field trip. Lastly, in reading we finished up our poetry unit and will begin Greek mythology next week. This is one of my favorite units. The kids always seem to enjoy it. I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day and were celebrated! Check out some pictures from our Mother's Day projects as well as the showcase. You have very talented children. |
