Over the past few weeks, we read two nonfiction stories. One story was called A Walk in the Desert and the other story was called Living in Alaska. We read through the stories and determined the main idea of each paragraph and supported that with textual evidence. At the end, the students were required to write a three paragraph paper describing the similarities and the differences of living in Alaska and the desert. The paragraphs had to have a catchy topic sentence, at least three supporting detail sentences, and a concluding sentence. I'm very proud of the work that everyone handed in. Take a look at some of our work!
